Our Story

Anjali Farm is located on seven acres of south facing slope in the West River valley of South Londonderry, Vermont.  It was started as a dairy in 1840 until 1965, hayed until 1980, pastured until 1990, mowed till 1995 and lay fallow until 2000 when Anjali Farm began cultivating the land from 2001-2024.

We raise vegetables, culinary and medicinal herbs, hops, as well as perennial fruit crops.  The fields have been in a rotation of cover-crop and fallow as it should be. Our perennial fruit and hoop-house production is year round. 

The farm was VERMONT ORGANIC FARMERS certified organic from 2000-2016. We have always, and will always use biodynamic practices that take us “beyond organic” ever since we planted our first seed!

We have many long-term restaurant clients within 30 miles. The bustling 45 member West River Farmers’ Market is a mile down the road! 

Strong retail revenue from our onsite farmstand and CSA shares have been wonderful with a PYO (pick your own) fruit, workshops and on-farm-dinners, the community has many ways to experience the farm.

We specialized in medicinal herbs, environmental education and heirloom seed saving. We have many seed varieties to pass along to all level of growers!

E’s Teas is the work of many years of drinking and experimenting with herbal teas for my family’s health. The line of small batch organic herbal teas consists of five herb blends that are soothing hot or cold!
